Dr Sisira is currently the Director of e-Healthcare Programs at the University of Queensland.

His primary responsibilities at the Centre for Online Health involve teaching and coordinating undergraduate and postgraduate courses in e-Healthcare. His research interests include developing, promoting, and integrating e-health education in the Health care sector. Dr Sisira has been involved in designing and developing education and training of e-Health for different groups of health professionals. Before joining the University of Queensland, Sisira taught at Kobe Gakuin University in Japan and the University of Auckland in New Zealand.  He has extensive experience in development studies working in many countries, including Russia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Japan, and New Zealand.
